Is the DO pen sturdy enough for field work- measuring in ponds and streams?

Yes, the DO Pens are sturdy and rugged enough for field work. They are IP-67 waterproof and they float in case you accidentally drop them in the pond or stream. They are also backed with a 5 year warranty.
