battery life?

Post by MrFishy on Sat Apr 18, 2009 9:30 am

I've probably had this pH pen (850051) "on" for 3-4 hours total, in 2-3 sessions, in the 2 weeks since it arrived. Needed it this morning . . . started my procedure (rinsed the sensor) then hit the pH (ON) button and got nothing.
Of course, I figure it's gotta be the batteries. I never did see any "lo" battery icon.
My question is this a normal amount of time for these batteries to last? As a rule, I remove batteries in power intensive devices between uses, but didn't w/this pen . . . yet.
Thanks for any replies.

850051 offers auto shut-off to avoid unnecessary usage. Your Pen also features a "low battery" indicator to allow the user to be aware. I'd like to get the pen back for evaluation, I will promptly ship a replacement or the repaird unit back to you.

I aplolgize for the inconvenience. Please contact me if there is anything else you'd care to discuss.

Thank you,

Terrie

Hi Terrie . . . I replaced the batteries and will surely send this device back IF this new set of 4 wears out anywhere near as fast as the initial ones did.
Perhaps the batteries that came w/pH probe were old?
Like I wrote, there was no "lo" battery indicator warning and I believe I'm the kind that would've noticed immediately.
If I didn't need the probe 2-3 times a week, I'd send it back to ya for inspection.
Thanks for the assurance that if there's indeed an issue, you are there to resolve it quickly.

Hello Fishy,

Perhaps it is simply a battery issue...we will see. Please keep in touch and let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Terrie
